THE INTERPRETERS are adults who like to have fun, socialize, create, and take risks in order to “get” contemporary art. For the first thirty minutes each session, THE INTERPRETERS meet and mingle on the ground floor while enjoying a complimentary beverage. Then, they embark as a group on a surprising, interactive one-hour experience in the galleries led by a museum educator. Projects can range from making poetry or rap from the words in a wall label to developing “blind” artworks based on materials found in the exhibition to creating original dance moves in response to an artwork. Become an INTERPRETER and help turn the galleries into labs for playful art analysis.
