One Hour
One Work

December 11, 2013 / 1:00pm

Free for MOCA Members; Free with Museum admission; reservation recommended
Maximum participants: 15

This reoccurring program takes place the second Wednesday of the month [NOV 13, DEC 11, JAN 8, FEB 12].

Contemporary art may move quickly, but there are great benefits to slowing down to interpret it. This pilot adult educational program invites participants to intentionally reduce their “speed reading” and take time to “deep dive” into a single work on view. Each session, a museum educator will select a different work of art and set a timer for sixty minutes of focused looking, conversation, consideration, interpretation, and understanding. Flex your art endurance and find out how rewarding extended time with an artwork can be.
