Someday is Now: Social Activism, Past and Present

August 24, 2014 / 3:00pm

FREE and open to all

From hand-made posters to social media blasts, activism has changed over the past 50 years. How did individuals assemble and lead community change in the past, and how does it happen today? Led by moderator, Earl Pike, this dynamic panel of social activists in our region will celebrate history and dream about the future as they explore community activism then and now. Beginning with a revisioning of artist Corita Kent’s signature “rules” for teaching and working, the group will apply art, identity, and activism towards new ways to “make” our lives today.
