Told: A Storytelling Workshop

December 3, 2015 / 7:00pm

$9.50 (includes museum admission)

Told is a live storytelling event where featured storytellers and audience volunteers take the stage to share a story around the evening’s theme. This interactive workshop will examine the elements of a good tale and approaches to performing stories. Participants will brainstorm story concepts based on a theme, then learn how to use narrative and storytelling to inspire, educate, and connect.

Inspired by the work of Korean-born artist Do Ho Suh, currently on view at MOCA, participants will use Suh’s consideration of home, migration, and identity as a springboard for storytelling. After participating in this workshop, you are welcome to submit your name to be randomly chosen to tell your tale at Told: Migration on Thursday, December 10.
