Whether it’s your first or fortieth visit, welcome to the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland! Always changing, MOCA brings you the art + ideas of our time. We aim to challenge, inspire and teach the diverse and individual audience members we meet every day within the ever-changing walls of our new, iconic building.

MOCA is always changing. The Museum has no collection — allowing for more opportunity to show more artists’ work. Three times a year, the galleries are reinstalled with the art of now and next. Come back each season to discover a new array of ideas, materials and aesthetics.

Families will, discover programming suited for children. Using the motto, “LOOK. THINK. SHARE,” The ArtSquad (including mascots Beauregard and Cherry!) presents accessible, age-appropriate ways to learn about and enjoy the Museum's changing exhibitions.

In addition to our exciting opening night parties, MOCA's nightlife events, artist talks, documentary screenings and other programming keeps this museum alive with interesting, intelligent and engaged individuals living in the increasingly cosmopolitan Cleveland area.

There are many ways to join in at MOCA: come experience the exhibitions, volunteer at events, become a museum docent, join as a member (including free entry to exhibitions, events and other exclusive member opportunities) or give to the museum. Each of these ways helps to keep this non-profit organization alive.

The Neighborhood

Located on the main intersection of the burgeoning Uptown neighborhood of Cleveland, The Museum serves as a catalyst for creativity and growth. The adjacent University Circle area is home to one of the country’s largest concentrations of cultural and educational institutions.

New restaurants continue to pop up in the storefronts of this new neighborhood, which makes for a full day worth of activities around the museum. Interesting spins on American tavern food, burgers, hot dogs, Korean, Japanese and Indian cuisine line Euclid Avenue along with a French patisserie and two (very different) ice cream shops!
