Job objective
The Community Programs Manager plays an important role in fostering relationships by creating and delivering impactful community programs focused on learning and enrichment, as well as tracking and helping to evaluate the impact of our community engagement work. This position will manage program creation and delivery, steward certain community partnerships, and support evaluation of visitor experiences and attendance.
Essential duties &
responsibilities
Designs, implements, and helps to evaluate arts-centered, learning and enrichment-focused public programs and workshops, both onsite and offsite. This includes interactive family and community events and initiatives for youth and senior citizens.
Works closely with the Senior Engagement Officer to develop relationships with leaders representing key audiences, such as local school administration and faculty, artists, non-profit directors, and civic representatives
Coordinates contractors and volunteers associated with engagement and programming initiatives.
Manages and helps to analyze visitor satisfaction surveys and attendance tracking.
Prepares analytical reports based on data trends to support strategic decision-making and fundraising by moCa’s senior leadership team
Promotes the museum's engagement initiatives and shares best practices by representing moCa at public programs, private development events, and industry conferences. Minimum
qualifications
Education: Four-year degree from an accredited institution in Arts Education, Education, Arts Administration, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years professional level experience in non-profit engagement, education, and/or community organizing with demonstrated experience in impact assessment & reporting.
Strong ability to analyze data and use findings to drive decision-making.
Demonstrated commitment to and success in managing learning programs that center community engagement
Travel (local): Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
1 to 2 years of demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and projects.

People Management: Collaborates and fosters strong team relationships, provides structured coaching and developmental feedback to direct reports, and actively participates in and contributes to team development initiatives/goals.
Reliability: Reliably fulfills obligations, consistently meets or exceeds deadlines, and proactively contributes to refining and improving established policies and procedures.
Tech & Tools: Uses computer systems and programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Milanote, and/or role-specific technology) with competency and efficiency.
Writing/Editing: Possesses proficient writing and editing skills - develops compelling and engaging content, executes thorough editing to refine content for clarity, coherence, and impact, and applies advanced writing techniques to enhance readability and user experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Listening and exchanging information in-person, by phone, and computer (frequently).
Lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds (occasionally).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Open-concept office with transparent walls, natural, and artificial light, and concrete floors.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule under moCa’s RWA policy.
Frequently required to travel locally for work.
As directed, this position is required to work weekends and/or evenings.
