One Hour
One Work

March 22, 2014 / 1:00pm

FREE to MOCA Members or with Museum admission

Contemporary art may move quickly, but there are great benefits to slowing down to interpret it. This adult educational program invites participants to intentionally reduce their “speed reading” and take time to “deep dive” into a single work on view. Each session, a museum educator will select a different work of art and set a timer for sixty minutes of focused looking, conversation, consideration, interpretation, and understanding. Flex your art endurance and find out how rewarding extended time with an artwork can be. A different artwork is selected for each month and repeated on Wednesday and the Saturday date. Artworks are not announced in advance.
Not sure if sixty-minutes is for you? Get a taste of One Hour/One Work when you attend SLOW Art Day on Saturday, April 12. Find out more HERE.
